How I'll Remember Grandma Dolores

Created by Julia 11 years ago
My favorite memories with Grandma are when I was little and she would visit our house in Livermore. I remember sitting in the backyard with her and she would sing songs from classic musicals while pushing me on the swing. Grandma was the first person who taught me how to color and I always loved singing along to her songs. She brought life to her stories and I learned so much from her. When we got older, and we visited the Krogers at their house in Templeton, Grandma would stay and watch us while our parents would do their traditional wine tasting for a day. She'd order us pizza and give us extra dessert. Every small act she did showed her endless love and warmth. Thanksgivings won't be the same without her lively laughter and stories. She always had her special recipes, fudge, and pies, just like every good grandmother does. I loved spending time at her house playing card games for hours and learning to play bridge. Grandma always had the best sense of humor and could make any subject light and funny. In a few words, I would describe my grandmother as a vibrant and strong. I hope that I can be that way too. I feel so lucky to have known my Grandma and blessed to have been able to see her this year.
