Known to her children as Mom, known to most of her grandchildren as Grandma Withers, known to my brothers and I as Grandma " Goura" . She lived in Agoura , California and somehow the name stuck. Grandma Goura was everything a Grandma should be . It's funny , now as an adult, the memories that have stuck with me. Visiting Grandma was always exciting - she had a pool and lived by the ocean! Almost all of my memories of Grandma involve her pool. The famous milk jugs! ( I was afraid to swim with out them) I remember her always making us sing along to her loud , raspy voice - " John , Jacob, jingle, himer, shmit- row row row your boat, " and so on. Grandma always LOVED to sing! I remember her always heating up my pool towels , I remember doing puzzles on her little card table at night, I remember her with happy, safe, fun, content memories. Thank you Grandma for your beautiful spirit. You will forever be remembered and cherished in my heart. I bet you are singing loud up in the heavens , smiling down at all of us . :)
